This client is a private company responsible for managing, maintaining, and improving the A13 road in London, a major route connecting Central London to areas in East London and Essex. They hold a long-term contract to provide road management services, ensuring that the A13 road remains in good condition and meets safety and operational standards.
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Quality Assurance Manager to oversee quality standards and processes across our highway’s projects. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing a robust quality framework to ensure compliance with DBFO contract.
Your day to day will vary but not be limited to
Develop and implement a comprehensive quality management system tailored to meet DBFO contract requirements, with a focus on Schedule 5 Quality Management.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines, including those set by TFL and other regulatory bodies.
Plan and conduct regular audits and inspections to assess the quality of materials, equipment, and processes, addressing any non-conformities or areas for improvement.
Identify and mitigate risks to project quality while promoting continuous improvement initiatives based on audit findings and lessons learned.
Train and support team members to ensure they understand their roles in maintaining quality and adhering to established procedures.
Collaborate with project teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to align on quality objectives and resolve any issues promptly.
Maintain detailed documentation of quality activities, inspections, and outcomes to ensure traceability and accountability.
Foster strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and regulatory bodies to support the successful delivery of high-quality projects.
Establish and track KPIs to measure the effectiveness of quality assurance efforts and drive improvements.

Civil Engineering or relevant degree.
Previous experience carrying out highways inspections and material/equipment quality control.
Proactively identifies potential risks and issues, implementing preventative measures before problems arise.
Motivates and guides teams to align on quality objectives, promoting accountability and teamwork.
Upholds high ethical standards and compliance with regulations, ensuring safety and quality remain a priority.
Skilled in developing and managing Quality Management Systems (QMS), including ISO 9001.
